I was born in suburban Philadelphia in 1954 and spent my formative years in Zürich and London. Exposure to the great museums and sites of Europe fueled a lifelong love of art. After earning a B.A. in European History at Connecticut college, I taught high school history before turning to photography as a passion and profession. My life as a  professional photographer has been all about people, whether early on photographing Boston’s music scene, as Senior Staff Photographer at Community Newspaper Company, or for the hundreds of events and commercial jobs taken on over the years. Over the last 27 years I have documented everyday life and historic events. in The Republic of Armenia. I am now devoted full time to that venture, and to sharing my pictures and stories with a broader audience. The overarching purpose is to bring greater attention and support to Armenia, while supporting the vital importance of cultural work in our world today.
